Laptop allowance

At Airteam, you have two options for your laptop. We can provide you with a device and replace it every three years, or sooner if needed. If you prefer to use your own tech, you can choose an allowance-funded laptop. This means you’ll purchase your own laptop (as long as it meets our minimum specs), take care of any repairs, and replace it every three years. For all the details, see our 🔐 laptop policy.

Communication allowance

All Airteamers automatically receive a monthly internet and communication allowance. You’ll get $100 per month (pre tax), which you can use for your internet and phone expenses. This allowance is paid pro-rata with your salary every fortnight, and you’ll see it listed on your payslip.

WFH allowance

We’ll help you set up a safe and comfortable workspace at home with our work-from-home allowance. To access this, just complete a WFH check as outlined in our  🔐 WFH safety check policy

Currently, the allowances are:

  • $900 - Allowance in your first year of employment
  • $300 - Top-up allowance, thereafter

Personal development allowance

All permanent crew can access $2,000 and two days each financial year for training. You can use this as part of your Learning and Development plan to set goals, or to pay for a course or other learning materials.

Flu shot allowance

Flu vaccines are usually available from April, but you can get your shot any time of year. In Australia, flu season peaks between July and September, and the vaccine gives the best protection for three to four months. The ideal time to get vaccinated is late May to early June. If you get a flu shot, you can claim up to $25 back. Just keep your receipt and email it to the Head of Crew and Culture and our Payroll Officer for reimbursement.

Parental bonus and support

If you’re welcoming a new child by birth or adoption, here’s the support available to you:

$15,000 Airteam parental support payment (inclusive of all taxes and superannuation). This is available for new parents who have:

  • completed at least 12 months of 'continuous service' (as defined by Fair Work Australia), and
  • are permanent employees, and
  • are active employees at the time of payment(s)—that is, have not given notice to leave or had their employment terminated,

  - and is for one parent of the child employed at Airteam.

Flexible working arrangements. We’re happy to take requests for ongoing adjustments to your regular hours to accommodate your family's needs.

Unpaid parental leave. Of up to 12 months, in line with Fair Work Australia. As of December 2022, to be eligible for this leave, employees must have been regularly and systematically working for Airteam for at least 12 months. See Fair Work Australia for details on taking up to 24 months of parental leave. Parental leave is part of the National Employment Standards (NES).

Government support payments for new parents. Employees are encouraged to visit Services Australia to check which government entitlements they may claim. Each payment has its own rules and criteria, and individual parents must apply for all benefits.
