We’re looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our cross-functional team. This role will suit someone who has a visual design background and has stepped into UX with a love of solving problems and working collaboratively to design great products.
As a UX/UI Designer you get to work with a range of clients large and small. You are comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team and also autonomously. Our UX team have a user focussed mindset and advocate for user needs at all stages of a product life cycle. You are comfortable working in early discovery and definition stages for a product; but your strengths lie in the Build > Test > Learn phase, where we can craft working solutions and iterate. You are adaptable and pragmatic, being able to spot a better way of doing things or responding to a change or new requirements. We partner closely with our clients, so being able to establish good relationships with stakeholders and work with a variety of people will help you succeed in this role.
All our UX team are LUMA certified professionals - and you’ll get the chance to join them!
Work as a UX/UI Designer in a multidisciplinary team or independently on discreet design work for our clients to:
Have a listen to Nick, our Head of UX talk about our human-centred design practices and design culture. You can also get a flavour of our developer culture from taking a peek at our dev roles and check out the recordings there.
We want our hiring process to be enjoyable, transparent and fair. Here are the steps we move through if you’d like to apply.
Apply online - You need to apply through our website. We have an application form that asks very specific questions related to the role. We review your answers instead of scanning CV’s. To reduce unconscious bias, we review applications with names removed and focus on your competencies and experience.
Phone screen - If your answers show relevant skills and experience required for the role, we’ll call you to have a chat about your application.
Design interview - We’ll then arrange a design interview, this may be in person or over zoom. This is where we’ll dig deeper into your experience and get a chance to ask each other lots of questions.
Team catchup - a chance to meet someone on the team in person (if it’s possible) or on zoom to talk about life as a UXer at Airteam.
Reference checks and offer - Pretty much what it says, we’ll want to call 2 previous managers for a reference to complete the offer.
